October Approaches
It is time for some movie suggestions for the month of October. I’m going to try to keep the titles a little more obscure and off beat. These will definitely not be for everyone. These may also cross over with my list of movies you only need to see once, so be warned.
Possum - Disturbing very personal horror story that leaves a lot for the viewer to work through.
Mulholland Drive - David Lynch, looking in the blue box for madness.
Under the Skin - A dark first contact story.
Hereditary - If you like horror you’ve probably seen this. There are layers to this one.
Annihilation - Alex Garland does a bang up job of adapting Jeff VanderMeer’s story of altered states and invasion(?).
Audition - A classic that is a bit of a slow burn at first but escalates into possibly just revenge.
Phil Tippet’s Blood God - A wordless journey into the dark imagination of a master of stop motion animation.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre - A classic a large number of people have passed on for some reason. This has held up better than you would think.
